Celtic have gone into the half time break 1-0 down after Calvin Stengs’ free-kick went through the wall. Joe Hart was furious as the 24-year-old’s strike appeared to go through the gap vacated by Kyogo to allow the Dutch side the lead.
Arguably, Hart has put the wall in place to cover that side as he covers the other side of the goal. However, the free-kick has been smuggled through the wall, bounced and skid off the surface into the net. The Celtic No.1 could’ve certainly moved his feet a little quicker but why is one of the team’s smallest players being set up in the wall?
It is a poor end to the half in which Celtic have been comfortable. The hosts, who are Pot One, have looked fine but they have not threatened to outclass Brendan Rodgers’ team thus far.
