After what was a nervous, topsy-turvy Scottish Cup Final Celtic had their hands on the trophy after beating Hearts after penalties at Hampden. As the Celtic players celebrated in an empty stadium, the organisers put on an incredible show of fireworks behind the stadium.

The spectacle on the park and in the skies is something to marvel; even if it is hard to take the there were no supporters there to enjoy it. Kris Ajer was the man that showed nerves of steel to stand up and blast the winning penalty beyond a helpless Craig Gordon. The latter will have been hoping to get one-up on his former employers and the script appeared to be written for Gordon’s retribution. Ryan Christie had his head in his hands when he missed but Kingsley and Wighton were denied by Conor Hazard.

The Jekyll and Hyde performance of Celtic was exposed again, a first half masterclass before capitulating at the back and blowing a two goal lead but managed to seal the win on penalties.

Celtic managed to find a way, there were easier ways to win a Cup Final but the win seals a Quadruple Treble.
