Former Celtic striker Frank McAvennie has revealed that he was targeted by Graeme Souness to move to Rangers.
The frontman is known for his late winner against Dundee United in the 1988 Scottish Cup Final. The attacker had an impressive scoring record at Celtic Park but he revealed to his podcast ‘Let Me Be Frank’ that the Rangers manager wanted to bring him to Ibrox.

Macca joined Celtic from West Ham in 1987 and was pivotal in the success that season. Souness turned his attentions towards signing Judas, which he completed in 1989.
