Celtic moved two points clear at the top of the Premiership with a 2-0 win over Hearts yesterday. Ange Postecoglou’s team knew that a victory would put daylight between the Scottish Champions and second-placed Rangers after they drew at Easter Road.
A resilient Hearts side set up to frustrate Celtic over the course of the afternoon; however, a well-executed cross and finish resulted in Kyogo scoring after 13 minutes. It is a goal that we have seen the Japanese striker score on many occasions since arriving at Celtic.
There were other chances over the course of the game but Celtic couldn’t get a second. It looked to be an anxious finish as Hearts made changes. Although, the deserved second yellows for Cochrane and Sibbick depleted Hearts before allowing Celtic the chance to get their second.
Substitute Giorgos Giakoumakis sealed the points for Celtic with a neat finish after a cross from Josip Juranovic.
