Video: Highlights of win over Hamilton as Celtic get ready for Spartans, Glasgow City and the Rangers

Highlights from Sunday’s 3-0 win over Hamilton Accies are up now and maybe you’ll be able to answer the question on who actually scored the second goal for Fran Alonso’s team?

The weather didn’t help and it was certainly a more subdued performance from The Celtic FC Women side in this the first home match of 2022 over at the Penny Cars Stadium in Airdrie. However as Fran Alonso explained to The Celtic Star at his press conference last Thursday all his side can do is go out, enjoy their football and win each match. If they keep doing that then the trophies will take care of themselves with the League Cup already at Paradise and the Women’s Scottish Cup and the SWPL title still up for grabs.

Next up for Celtic is an away match against Spartans this Sunday, something of a revenge mission this one for the Ghirls after the Edinburgh side secured a 2-2 draw at the Penny Cars earlier in the season. That game against Spartans at Ainslie Park on Sunday (kick-off is at 2pm) sets Celtic up for the next two matches which will be absolutely massive in deciding how the second half of the season is going to pan out for Fran Alonso and his squad.

On Thursday 10 February Celtic travel over to Petershll Park to play Glasgow City in the SWPL and really must win this match. Anyone who watched Celtic boss the current Champions in the League Cup Final in December will be confident.

Then on Sunday 13 February Celtic welcome theRangers to the Penny Cars for the Scottish Cup showdown – kick-off for that one is 3pm and hopefully The Celtic support will come out in large numbers to cheer the team on to victory. Again Celtic knocked out theRangers in the League Cup at the quarter final stage with the only goal of the game being scored by Charlie Wellings, who scored in the match against Hamilton at the weekend to take her total for the season to 24.
