Last summer it would’ve seem far fetched to suggest that Scotland would qualify for the Euros and Jack Hendry would be in line to start, but a lot can change in a season.
For some reason Scotland and only seem to produce left-footed defenders just now, so Hendry’s right footedness and his impressive for in Belgium has allowed him to push his way into the national setup.
There’s a good chance that he’ll start in the group games if he’s fit, but that’s now a major doubt after he picked up this horrible looking injury for Oostende:
Obviously he’s not doing too well after that tackle and it’s still a case of waiting to see just how bad the damage is, so hopefully it won’t keep him out for too long.
It’s still not clear if he does have a long-term Celtic future but the worst case scenario sees him go to the Euros and bump up his price tag, so there’s every reason to hope he’s fit in time.
