Celtic took the lead against Raith Rovers this evening after 26 minutes thanks to a tidy finish from Portuguese winger Jota.

The Benfica youngster joined on a season long loan on deadline day and netted his first goal for the Hoops after a pass from James  McCarthy found him in the Rovers box.

It was really an excellent pass from McCarthy as he played it into Jota’s pass and allowing him to get into a shooting position.

McCarthy and Jota both copped criticism in the week after their performances against Livingston so both will be delighted at being involved with the opener today.

Ange Postecoglou’s Celtic will be hoping to join Rangers and holders St Johnstone in the draw for the semi-finals, which will take place this evening.
