Video: Kyogo leaves calling card on PSG’s Neymar in firm tackle

Kyogo has left Neymar with a bruise on his foot after making a firm but fair tackle in Japan’s 1-0 loss to Brazil earlier today. The PSG superstar scored the only goal of the game with his strike coming from the spot. However, he was involved in his usual theatrics but this time when Celtic’s No.8 made a challenge for the ball.

Kyogo also left John Lundstrum in a heap in the final Glasgow Derby match of the season. The plastic hardman, who seemed to gain plaudits for losing a 50-50 with Callum McGregor in the Scottish Cup Semi-Final was left in a pile when the tricky forward nipped in ahead of him to take the ball.

  1. naymers big toe ruled out of the world cup because of a celtic player ( the daily ranger headline this morn) mibbes aye mibbes naw who noes about toes these days.

  2. Can guarantee that lump on that foot didn’t come from that ‘tackle’ …Kyogo clearly won the ball fairly, Neymar took a dive, the ref it seems ‘bought it’ like he done in Brazils favour for most of that match…seen him ignore several fouls on Japan players, then award Brazil free kicks for identical tackles seconds later; he was definitely ‘star struck’ by Brazil!

For a friendly game, it was played at a very high tempo, with firm tackling being thrown in from the start.

Japan surprised me with just how good a team they are; technically brilliant, well organised, comfortable playing out from the back through Brazils high press.

Japans only weakness was their inability to find their Centre Forwards quickly, instead, their midfield preferred to hold onto the ball for too long, going on mazy runs(a problem Celtic shared often last season)

…if they can sort that out, and feed their front line quickly and efficiently, they’ll be lethal!

    Was never a penalty either!
