Liam Scales made it 2-0 to Celtic with a brilliant glanced header. The Irishman fought off the grappling Killie defender to rise high and clip the ball into the back post, which it nicked before settling in the net.

Robby McCrorie had no chance as the central defender wheeled away in celebration. It was a brilliant ball into the box from the corner from Matt O’Riley.

Celtic have been all over Kilmarnock and have been good value across the pitch. The sharpness in their play is good to see and the manager will be hoping that they can build upon this in the second half.
