Neil Lennon faced the media yesterday ahead of this evening’s game versus Ross County at Celtic Park. The game falls into the must-win category considering the gap between Celtic and Rangers at the top of the table and Lennon is hopeful that his side use their Quadruple Treble success as a catalyst to reduce the gap.
Lennon became the first player and manager to win a Treble, cementing his place in not just Celtic’s illustrious history but that of Scottish Football. It is an enormous achievement but the push for the league title is now the most pressing issue.
Ross County inflicted a league cup defeat against Celtic last month, winning 2-0 and ending Celtic’s unbeaten run in domestic cup competitions. However, they sit at the foot of the table and manager Stuart Kettlewell was relieved of his duties and ex-Celt John Hughes was hired to save them from the drop.
