Video: Missed opportunity as Celtic Unique Angle misses celebrations

Celtic have released the Unique Angle from Saturday’s dramatic win against Motherwell at Fir Park. However, it is a missed opportunity as the footage failed to show the incredible, chaotic scene after Matt O’Riley’s winner.

Luis Palma thought he’d won the game after a fizzing cross found its way goal wards. Then, Blair Spittal thought he had secured a point for Stuart Kettlewell’s team with a tidy finish. This sparked Well Bois to enter the park and celebrate.

Whilst many teams might have let their heads drop after this, Celtic did not. Brendan Rodgers’ team had a minute of magic left with Greg Taylor picking out O’Riley as he entered the box. The Great Dane finished well, high into the net, to secure the win.

You can probably work out why the decided to cut it, but it would’ve been a good watch to see the scenes after O’Riley netted.

Meanwhile Thursday 19 October is going to be a very special day for The Celtic Star so please save the date…

John Hartson will be The Celtic Star’s guest of honour as we celebrate the launch of Matt Corr’s new book Majic, Stan and the King of Japan on Thursday 19th October at the Kerrydale Suite at Celtic Park. More information on the night and ticket details to follow…. Majic, Stan and the King of Japan tells the story of Gordon Strachan’s first dramatic and ultimately highly successful first season as Celtic manager and it was of course Big Bad John who scored the goal that won the league!
