Video: New Bhoys train ahead of Sunday’s trip to Ibrox

Celtic were today continuing their preparations for Sunday’s trip to Ibrox in the Scottish Premiership up at the club’s Lennoxtown Headquarters up in the Campsies. Brendan Rodgers has endured a mixed start to the season so far, coming in for some criticism in the wake of dropping out of the League Cup early doors and dropping points at home to St Johnstone in the league.

By his own admission after both games, the Irishman made it quite clear that the starting line-up had to be furnished with more quality additions before the closing of the summer transfer window. Well, the heirarchy have managed to get some through the door, with Aris winger, Luis Palma, signing on after knocking back Mick Beale’s approaches. The club have also managed to get Nat Phillips on loan from Liverpool until January to help cover our defensive crisis.

Both these signings are most welcome and both men can be spotted in the weekly training video the Hoops release. The manager has also said he will assess both players ahead of that massive fixture that lies in wait come Sunday afternoon, but did admit they could be in contention to face theRangers.

I'm a Garngad Bhoy through and through. My first ever Celtic game was a friendly against Italian side Parma at Celtic Park, in 2002. Currently a student of English Literature and Education at the University of Strathclyde for my sins. Favourite game would be a toss up between beating Manchester United with that Naka freekick, or the game against the Oldco when Hesselink scored in the dying seconds. I'm still convinced Cal Mac is wasted playing that far back.
