On this day, 23 December 2006, Celtic beat Falkirk with a narrow 1-0 victory at Paradise. Tommy Gravesen, or “Mad dog” as he was also known, opened the scoring with a typically tenacious tackle leading to a blistering strike into the top corner. It’s qualities like that which show why he played for Real Madrid!

The second half brought a golden chance to finish the game off, but Kenny Miller, also known as something less kind than “Mad dog” by Celtic fans these days, struck the post with his penalty kick.
