One in a row, nine to go… it was back in April 2012 that Celtic got their hands on the Scottish Premier League trophy for the first time in this current run of championships, which has stretched almost a decade.
We all hope that fans can get back into the stadium at some point this season, even if it’s just for one game to celebrate should things go well.
Winning 10 in a row would be one of the greatest atmospheres and celebrations in Celtic history, but the first of these titles, won at Rugby Park in 2012, was the one that sparked the best celebrations to date. For three years the trophy had rested across the city and we finally had it back in our clutches.
Celtic put the icing on the cake that afternoon with an amazing performance, winning 6-0. Charlie Mulgrew was the club’s player of the year and he got amongst the goals early on, whilst Joe Ledley’s second half chip was a joy to watch.
No footage of the Kilmarnock match can be complete without reliving this scene from the stands. Truly incredible stuff.
