Celtic’s Paulo Bernardo has netted for Portugal U21s this evening. The on-loan Benfica centre mid was called up despite being scarcely used by Brendan Rodgers so far in his Celtic career.

However, there were no signs that the classy midfielder was lacking any sharpness as his tidy finish made it 4-1 to Portugal.

Bernardo has made three Celtic starts with two of those coming in the UEFA Champions League. Fans will be keen to see whether the player has much to offer, especially given the volume of games that are coming up.
Hopefully, Rodgers shares the same view and wants to get the youngster out and making an impact on the pitch.
