Jack Hendry opened the scoring for Scotland with an excellent effort. The right centre back snatched the ball in the midfield as Memphis Depay and Stuart Armstrong scrapped in a Scotland press. Hendry stepped forward, picked his spot before dispatching an excellent finish into the bottom corner.
The ex-Dundee defender is entering the prime of his career but was never offered a chance under Lennon to prove his worth. The new manager, likely Ange Postecoglou, may fancy Hendry and give the player the belief to come back into the fold at Celtic and finally live up to his potential.
