Celtic sealed the Cinch Premiership title with a 2-0 win over Hearts in Scotland’s Capital this afternoon. Goals from Kyogo and Oh settled the affair but there was also a few controversial incidents. One of which doesn’t appear to be getting the traction that it might otherwise deserve.

Steven Naismith continued the embarrassing antics which earned him acclaim with Kilmarnock, Hearts and Rangers but this time as interim manager of the Tynecastle club. Midway through the first half, with his Hearts team performing well against the Champions-elect, Jota skipped by Cammy Devlin on the line before seemingly clattering into Naismith.

Ange Postecoglou saw the funny side at the time but replays appear to suggest that there was more than a happy accident about the incident with Naismith seemingly raising his knee to bring the Portuguese star to the ground.

If so, this is particularly shameful from Naismith. Although, it shouldn’t come as a surprise considering how he would kick Celtic players with almost impunity during his playing days.
