In the aftermath of Celtic’s defeat tonight a number of decisions from the players and the manager will go under the microscope. However, there was one decision by referee Bobby Madden that has flagged up with supporters on social media.

Former Rangers midfielder Andy Halliday lunged in on Callum McGregor, catching the Celtic captain as he strode into the Hearts half as he looked to do something. Halliday, who won nothing at Ibrox, caught McGregor and to the surprise of everyone avoided a yellow card.

It was a potential red card offence given the speed that he flies in at and Celtic are lucky that McGregor was able to get back up and continue. There were two other decisions that might have impacted the result of the match. The linesman adjudged Greg Taylor to be offside as he squared the ball to Liel Abada, who scored. Then, the winner from Hearts came from a dubious decision after Soro appeared to win the ball. No point crying over spilt milk, Celtic have a lot of work to do and cannot sit on their hands.
