Video: Stan Petrov Extends Celtic’s Winning Run To 19 Matches (2004)

On this day in 2004 Celtic beat Hearts 1-0 at Tynecastle. The victory extended the Hoops’ SPL winning run to 19 matches.

Petrov scored the winning goal in the 27th minute, after being set through by Henrik Larsson. The Bulgarian midfielder picked his spot and nutmegged Craig Gordon, before cupping his ears in acknowledge of the Hearts faithful.

Celtic would eventually go on to win 25 matches in a row, and it’s not hard to see why when the Bhoys had this line up at their disposal:

Douglas, McNamara, Balde, Pearson, Sutton, Hartson, Larsson, Agathe, Lennon, Petrov, Varga.
