Video: Sydney van Hooijdonk’s 2023 highlights as talisman linked with Celtic move

Celtic have been linked with a move for Sydney van Hooijdonk. The Bologna attacker is expected to be made available in the January transfer window and the Italian media are speculating that a move to Celtic could be in the offing. Sydney is the son of Pierre van Hooijdonk, who spent over two years at the club under the stewardship of Tommy Burns.

Sydney meanwhile, is quite the handful and could offer a separate option to Kyogo and Oh in attack. Here are his highlights from the 2023 season.

van Hooijdonk could be signed on a loan deal with a transfer option included, continuing the club’s trading model for larger purchases – like Jota and Cameron Carter-Vickers.
