Video: “That’s a Beautiful Message” as Celtic team up with Islamic Relief

Things like this just make you proud to be a Celtic supporter. This is from STV News today and it’s well worth sharing so that its seen far and wide. Celtic FC Foundation has teamed up with Islamic Relief to deliver food parcels aimed at tackling holiday hunger to vulnerable children.

And the Director of Islamic Relief Tufail Hussain made a very good point. “What I am immensely proud of is the interfaith element here.

“You’ve got Islamic Relief, a leading Islamic organisation. Celtic FC which has its roots in Irish Catholicism and we’re packing today at a Church of Scotland church. Ou community partners include the Lanarkshire Mosque and we’re helping both Muslims and non-Muslim families.”

He added: “That’s a beautiful message.” Well done to all involved.
