Video: The shocking decision that cost Celtic’s B Team last night

Celtic B Team faced Clyde in the Glasgow Cup last night as Tommy McIntyre’s side looked to start their campaign with a win. However, they would suffer late disappointment as the prospect of a win was snatched away courtesy of a David Goodwillie penalty.

Goodwillie was adjudged to have been fouled by Celtic goalkeeper Conor Hazard but videos from the game highlight just how baffling it was to give a red card and a penalty. Hazard may have caught the striker but if he did, it was well outside the box.

Hazard and Celtic can rightly feel aggrieved by the decision, which was clearly a horrendous mistake by the referee.

  1. Don’t know why anyone would complain , it’s just an honest mistake, these things even themselves out over the season don’t they..?

  2. Ref needs to be pulled up for this , a guy wi a white stick in the stand said it was outside of the box

  3. Why do we continue to accept these disgusting decisions against us? Bringing it up at the agm is more to win favour of the fans. The manager should be banging on the referee’s door in front of all the officials especially that side lines person
and showing him the replay but like the first team and im sure the women’s team we accept it so it’ll continue to happen
