David Turnbull made it 4-0 to Celtic after an error from the St Mirren goalkeeper. The Scottish midfielder got a second of the afternoon and both he and Liel Abada will fancy the chance to grab a hat-trick in the second half.
Abada crossed the ball only for Alnwick to fumble the shot into the path of Turnbull, who couldn’t miss. The goal gives Celtic a 4-0 lead going into the break and the manager could consider making a couple of changes early in the half with the prospect of AZ Alkmaar and Ibrox in the next week.
