Celtic beat Aberdeen last night thanks to a wonderful strike from David Turnbull. The win is Celtic’s fifth in a row, cutting Rangers’ lead to 15 points. Neil Lennon made three changes from the side that beat St Johnstone at the weekend and early pressure suggested that the team may put McInnes’ Dons to the sword.
Apart from Turnbull’s low driven shot, there were very little chances of note across the 90 minutes and Celtic were dogged if uninspiring against an Aberdeen side that are floundering at the moment, with no goals scored in six games.
The win was the main thing but it is a case of too little too late given the amount of points dropped following the return from Dubai.
