Video: Vital block from Liam Scales as Hibs miss chance to draw level

Hibernian had an almost certain goal blocked by Liam Scales in what has developed into an extremely open first half of football at Easter Road. After Adam Idah netted his first goal for the club thanks to a penalty, Brendan Rodgers was probably hoping that his side would really kick on but as the half has progressed, Nick Montgomery’s side have started to look threatening.

A dangerous cross was fired into the box and it fell favourably to Youan, who gave Scott Bain a torrid time here last May, and it looked as if the Frenchman was ready to bulge the net. However, the Celtic defender ran out and blocked the ball as it went sailing behind for a corner.

Hopefully Celtic can get this game by the scruff of the neck and double their lead. Chances are coming but the hosts look to be targeting the back-up full-backs.
