The Frenchman scored from the spot to make it 13 out of 8 for France’s U21s and surely Didier Deschamps will be taking notice of what is happening in the World Champions’ second string side. French Eddy’s goal came against the Azerbaijan U21s and will return to Celtic full of confidence following two in two games.

Ryan Christie also got a goal from the spot against Czechia. Andy Robertson was brought down in the area and the 25-year-old stepped up to give Scotland the lead.

Perhaps the best goal of the night came from Norway’s Moi Elyounoussi. A lofted pass was met by the chest of the winger and he brought it down with incredible skill before knocking the ball into the net.
