Ange Postecoglou was giving absolutely nothing away at the weekend when it came to discussing transfer activity involving any of his current stars leaving the club in the January transfer window amid increasing transfer rumours linking both Giorgos Giakoumakis – who scored the second goal against Kilmarnock at Hampden – and Josip Juranovic – who somewhat surprisingly returned to the side and was outstanding in the League Cup semi-final.
Both players were in no hurry to leave the pitch after the post-match celebrations which you can watch below.
In terms of new arrivals the Australian has already made three signings in the January transfer window with Alistair Johnston, Yuki Kobayashi and Tomoki Iwata all coming in and after the 2-0 win which sends Celtic back to Hampden next month for the League Cup Final against theRangers Postecoglou told broadcasters Viaplay Sports that he’s looking at adding one more player to his squad in this window.

“We need to strengthen further, we need to keep getting stronger,” Ange admitted. “None of the three boys we’ve signed played on Saturday, but they’re going to add to us and hopefully we’re going to get another one in the door before the end of the window.
“We worked hard at the squad this year. Last year we had a core of players who had delivered, but I just felt we needed a stronger squad to be able to tackle what we need to tackle at this club, trying to win three domestic trophies and being in the Champions League.
“There’s always the possibility guys might move on for whatever reason. It’s not about me pushing anyone out the door, everyone has decisions to make. If something comes on the table one of them feels strongly about we’ll discuss it, but right now I’m more about bringing in than letting them go.”
