Olivier Ntcham could be heading to the English Premier League with Sam Allardyce, the West Brom manager looking to sign the Celtic midfielder in the January transfer window.

The reliable Sky Sports reporter Anthony Joseph has reported that the Premier League strugglers, currently second bottom of the table with just one win in 16 matches, are looking at bringing in the French midfielder from Celtic and have now made an approach to Celtic.

The Scottish Quadruple Treble winners rejected a bid for Ntcham at the end of the expended summer window back in October. That came from French side Brest but failed to meet Celtic’s valuation of the player who was signed from Manchester City for £4.5m plus add-ons on 12 July 2017.

Ntcham scored in a Scottish Cup Final win over Motherwell, got the winner in a league match against theRangers and best of all got that dramatic winning goal against Lazio that gave Celtic a first ever competitive win on Italian soil.

That historic Celtic goal was classy and Ntcham’s celebrations were outstanding! Head over heels in Rome and all that!

With the likes of Ismaila Soro and David Turnbull establishing themselves in the Celtic first team, Ntcham has dropped down the pecking order and has long since shown a eagerness to move onto a new challenge. Whether he fancies a crack at helping keeping West Brom up is another matter but it might be a move that suits all parties.
