West Ham keen on signing Cameron Carter-Vickers from Celtic

West Ham are reportedly keen on bringing Cameron Carter-Vickers into their club this summer. The Hammers, who recently replaced David Moyes with Julen Lopetegui, are looking to rebuild under the Spaniard and build a team capable of challenging for European spaces for next season.

As reported by HITC, Celtic’s star defender is a target for the Irons this summer. Despite having five years remaining on his deal, the report states that West Ham are interested in signing him.

Celtic signed the player on loan on deadline day in the summer of 2021 as Ange Postecoglou bolstered his backline and his performances impressed with fans clamouring for a permanent deal. Celtic obliged and took up the option, paying Spurs £6m for the assured stopper. The 26-year-old is a key figure in the Celtic dressing room, taking the vice captaincy, meaning that the club will be extremely keen to keep him at the club.

The report states that Fulham and Ipswich Town are also keen on the USA Internationalist. However, given that he has a long term deal at Celtic and is seemingly extremely settled in Glasgow, it would be unlikely that the player could be tempted by the lure of the Premier League.

Celtic will be keen to retain the defender and find him a long term partner, rather than opting to sell him. Although, if they did, he would command £20m+ for the ex-Spurs defender.

CCV has made 115 appearances for Celtic, scoring 6 goals and assisting on 2 occasions. In this time, he has won seven trophies as Celtic have won 3IAR.

  1. No real surprise, as this is going to be the annual rumours regarding CCV?
We hold all the aces here, and unless CCV really wants to move on, then we are in a position to tell them all to fuck off.
Don’t believe CCV has any intentions of moving on, but you can never be 100 percent either at this time of year?
The top players are going to have a very short end of season break for big clubs with tournaments ongoing?
So would be expecting CCV to stay where he’s comfortable, along with the full backing of our support, and to continue living the dream with the opportunity and success on offer with ourselves.
How many other teams can offer better, outside of increasing the wages?

  2. So is most of epl but to go to west ham from Celtic can o ly be for the money I’d gave west ham as o e of my favourits to struggle in the coming season

  3. You are having a giraffe ! lol 20m+ more like 35m+ we have the contract and he is without doubt the best defender since big Virgil ( who went to cheap in my opinion)escalation since big Virgil gets us to 35mm+

  4. West ham are not a bad team and have a large following home matches 0ver 60 thousand fans and if a big offer comes in for any Celtic player make no mistakes they will be sold plus the player can see his wage increase by 3/4 times what he gets at Celtic no one will refuse that.
