West Ham linked with ambitious £35m move for Edouard but Frenchman wants higher level

West Ham are the latest club to be linked with Celtic’s Odsonne Edouard. The Hammers are reportedly keen on a £35m deal to bring Edouard to The London Stadium this month according to The Daily Star. However, Edouard is allegedly seeking a higher level when he leaves Celtic.

The report states that Moyes is very keen to replace Haller with Edouard having watched him a number of times and it is believed he would be willing to splash out to land him. Although the striker may see himself playing at a higher level than West Ham.

Celtic will likely be keen to offload the star Frenchman as they look to prepare for the next season and an attempt to reclaim their title that appears to be destined for new hands. The club will be keen to maximise the price for the player and that could be anywhere north of £25m.

Edouard has been linked with a move away from Celtic with Leicester, AC Milan and even Real Madrid mentioned as being interested in the attacker. However, with Celtic’s poor form as well as a quiet season from the 23-year-old, the club may struggle to find the optimal fee for their prized asset.

The French striker has eighteen months remaining on his current Celtic deal and has been linked with a multi-million move from the club since the summer. However, now we have been given the clearest indication that the 23-year-old is planning for his future by joining Stellar Sports.

There appears to be an air of inevitability that the player will leave the club, he will be looking to play in The Champions League and a move to Leicester would probably be ideal for the striker given Rodgers is there as well as the likelihood of them playing in The Champions League as well as competing in The Premier League.
