Today it was the the turn of Elena Sadiku to take her side on the road, a little bit further north to face Montrose at Links Park and the Celtic FC Women went one better that the Bhoys with our Ghirls scoring a magnificent seven without reply.

Saoirse Noonan doubled the Celtic advantage five minutes later with a long-range volley, before netting again shortly after to get herself a brace.

Kit Loferski got her name on the scoresheet 10 minutes before the break with a nice dink over the goalkeeper, giving the Scottish Champions a fantastic lead going into half-time. The speedy American got the second half off to a flying start as well, finding the top corner of the Montrose net shortly after the restart.

Celya Barclais made it six as the ball fell to her at the back post, and deadline day signing Morgan Cross struck home with three minutes left to play to grab her first goal for Celtic and round off a great performance at Links Park for a Celtic side that started with nine changes from the team that lined-up in the Champions League match on Thursday evening.
