Obviously you can’t expect to win every single game, but there was something deeply unsettling about the manner of Celtic’s performance today.
You can’t always play well but there’s no actual excuse for being outworked, and Steven Gerrard won’t believe how easy it was for his side to win today.
Neil Lennon got it wrong tactically and didn’t change things before it was too late, but there was no movement or desire from anyone on the pitch, so it’s incredibly easy to play against a team who don’t look to get in behind.
A few regular starters were missing so there’s a ready made excuse if you want to go down that road, but the Celtic line up still had players worth millions of pounds out there today.
The stats on the coverage told you all you needed to know with the three centre backs having the most touches and Celtic not getting a meaningful shot on target either, so they will take a pounding for this performance and rightfully so.
It’s becoming clear that Neil Lennon can be out-coached and out-thought by any semi competent manager with similar resources, and the fans are understandably furious after the game:
Lennon needs removed as manager. Guy hasn't got a clue. He sounded defeated in build up. Oh this game wont mean anything.

Dear Neil Lennon
Stop playing 3-5-2 you aren't Martin O'Neil.

Neil Lennon is not good enough, said it before and I’ll say it again.

Lennon and brown and Duffy.. 3 captains failed to get this team up for it for 10 in a row….what chance do we have

I think no matter the outcome of the season Lennon should bow out at the end of it.

Said it before and I’ll say it again, Neil Lennon is the biggest threat to 10IAR and you’re lying to yourself if you say that isn’t the case, been so many signs of this from the start of the season, including the champions league run.

Was surprised we won the league with Lennon in charge last season. Would be amazed if same happened this season. Incredible decline over past 18 months.

Neil Lennon has been found out in every single job he’s had after a bright start and it looks like it’s happening again, so it will be interesting to see how he tries to spin the defeat.
