Celtic fan, Andy Pingu or ‘Pingers’ to those familiar with the Huddleboard forum site, has recently launched a Mental Health Walk and Talk for fellow supporters going through a tough time.

The initiative enables people to open up on their difficulties and talk about them in a confidential environment, with others going through similar experiences. Many attendees have found the meetings to be liberating and extremely useful. It is often the first step that people have made to open up, the move being easier to make in a casual environment with fellow Celtic supporters.

The walk and talk meets are held every week at different parks around Glasgow, so that it allows people less travelling some weeks.

In addition to that weekly event, Andy has now launched a FREE fortnightly Boxing class.

The Green Brigade Ultras heard of Andy’s good work and kindly donated two boxes of gloves and pads, today. The donation means that all equipment will be provided and that boxing classes can remain free of charge.

Everyone is welcome to attend all events no matter age or gender. Travel arrangements can be made free of charge and for the boxing classes equipment is provided.

If you would like to get involved in the Mental Health Walk & Talk and/or Boxing Classes then you can do so by contacting Andy Pingu on Twitter: @andypingu67

Andy will be able to provide details of when and where meetings & classes will take place.

NEXT UP on The Celtic Star, Niall J profiles tomorrow’s opposition FK Sarajevo, so stay tuned for that.
