It’s always good when a player departs the club on good terms, especially if that can pay dividends in the transfer market at a later date.
Emilio Izaguirre was a fan’s favourite over two spells at Celtic Park, and it sounds like he could be instrumental in bringing a Honduran player to Celtic.
A report from The Herald has indicated that Izaguirre is acting as a go between in the case of Alberth Elis – A pacey winger with a very impressive goal record.

He’s currently playing for Houston Dynamo in MLS and although he usually operates as a winger, he has a goal scoring record of 33 goals in 87 games.
It’s suggested that Elis has been pestering Izaguirre for a while about a possible move to Celtic, and the former left back has brought his compatriot to Celtic’s attention.
It’s not clear if a move is actually likely at this point, but Izaguirre’s description of Elis does make him sound like a promising player.
According to the report he’s described as a pacey winger who is good on the ball and effective in the air, so it would certainly be worth having a look if that’s true.
It’s just another name to add to the list of possible targets at this point, but it could be interesting to follow his story this summer.
