BRENDAN RODGERS IS HERE FOR TEN IN A ROW…

“There is still a lot of work for me to do, to achieve, on the pitch and off the pitch. But you can only do that if you are happy and for me I couldn’t be happier at this club,” Brendan said at this afternoon’s press conference.

“The support I get from the board, it is all very aligned, very clear and that allows me to work in confidence. And that gives the stability to the team and for the staff and everyone, we can all move forward.

“I am looking to the next step to take and already we are thinking how we can improve for next year, how can we be better in our form and game, in all aspects.

“I couldn’t have wished for it to have gone any better. You always hope you come into a club and make an impact.

“What is important for us that we could start quickly but that is all down to the players and their ability to learn and take on board and they have been absolutely fantastic.

“I talk to them about this ferocious intent to keep developing and I see that every day so they can then take it on to the field. It has been a joy to see that and we want to continue with that.

PLAYING HIBS “is always a difficult game but our players have a good confidence and we’ll prepare for a tough game. It (Hampden on Sunday) was a very good win for us. If you win a semi-final against one of your great rivals then of course there’s a good feeling in that.

“But very quickly you have to move onto the next game and our next game gives us the opportunity to wrap up the league. If we can do it – great. If not, then we have four games to go. The most important thing is to win the title but of course you want to win it as soon as you can.”

CALLUM McGREGOR ON THE DT

“Confidence is high and we want to try to finish it off as quickly as possible. Everybody’s excited and raring to go off the back of a good result.

“In terms of that (DT) achievement, it’s obviously really exciting for the players and something that we’ll be trying our best to do.

“But we know how we got our success last year was taking each game as it comes, focusing on the next one and trying to get the win.”
