Celtic star Josip Juranovic helped his country Croatia earn a point in their UEFA Nations League match last night in Split. The classy right-back has been the steal of the century for just £2.5 million from Legia Warsaw last summer, having performed fantastically well for the Bhoys at the right-hand side of the defence alongside Cameron Carter-Vickers, Carl Starfelt and Greg Taylor this year.

France have an array of talent and the spoils of their squad were on display last night. NKunku, Rabiot and new Real Madrid signing Tchoulameni were just some of the names that Juranoivc and his compatriots were up against. However, with legend Luka Modric and new Tottenham Hotspur player Ivan Perisic amongst the Croatia ranks, they were far from shrinking violets against the World Cup champions.

The last World Cup Final coincidentally saw these two face off against one another, with Croatia performing admirably but unable to prevent Didier Deschamps side running out 4-2 winners in a cracking game of football back in the July of 2018. A game Juranovic was not yet available for.

There have been reports that the Celtic player had a good game by all accounts, as one fan of the Hoops has claimed he was at the game since he was holidaying in Split this week. All over and over as the song goes! The fan also revealed Juranovic’s fierce rival in domestic duty, Borna Barisic had a hum-dinger resulting in him being subbed. Now why does that seem familiar..?
