Josip Juranovic was a notable absence in the north for Celtic’s hard-fought 3-2 win over Aberdeen, with the Croatian full-back having been a notable absence given how well he played in the Derby win and his sub appearance in the demolition of Motherwell last week.

Fans were notably concerned at his unavailability against the Dons, with Anthony Ralston and Greg Taylor starting instead as they did at Fir Park.

Concerns that he may be out with a long-term injury surfaced, with the club’s fans preparing for the long-term loss of their superstar.

But Ange has denied any claims – stating that the full-back only missed out due to illness.

“He’s got an illness mate,” Postecoglou said in Thursday’s press conference.

“[He’ll be back at] the weekend, hopefully, and if not he will definitely be back for the midweek fixture next week.”

The news comes after a reported interest from Brendan Rodgers’ Leicester side, with a reported fee of £10million being banded about for his services. Not so bad of a return for a player who cost Celtic just £2.5m in August from Legia Warsaw – although it would be a bitter loss for one of the league’s best players.
