But Ange has denied any claims – stating that the full-back only missed out due to illness.
“He’s got an illness mate,” Postecoglou said in Thursday’s press conference.
“[He’ll be back at] the weekend, hopefully, and if not he will definitely be back for the midweek fixture next week.”
The news comes after a reported interest from Brendan Rodgers’ Leicester side, with a reported fee of £10million being banded about for his services. Not so bad of a return for a player who cost Celtic just £2.5m in August from Legia Warsaw – although it would be a bitter loss for one of the league’s best players.
