As Celtic supporters, we need to be patient on the signings front. There is obviously money available and a willingness to invest in the squad, so should trust the process…

We’re already half way through January and yet to add a new addition to the squad, despite being linked to numerous players.
It’s pretty obvious that moves are being made
Some supporters are unsurprisingly starting to get a little nervous, but they just need to be patient as I’m confident a couple of players at least will arrive before the window shuts. Patient isn’t a word in the vocabulary of our support at times, but they’ve got to trust the process as it’s pretty obvious that moves are being made behind the scenes.

January is always traditionally a tough month when it comes to the transfer market, you only need to look around Europe where much more ‘attractive’ clubs than ourselves are finding it difficult to add to their squad.

But it’s quite clear that we are trying our best to bring in the quality that the manager requires to make us stronger. A move for Kieran Tierney is near completion, and we’ve reportedly put in a number of serious bids for several attacking players, so the money is obviously available to strengthen the squad.
Our board have rightly been criticised in recent years when it comes to adding to the squad, but last summer they spent heavily and backed the manager, and last January the one player they signed on a permanent contract was the best player in Scotand, Nicolas Kuhn.

I don’t see any signs that they won’t do similar in this window, certainly judging from Brendan’s media conference yesterday which was attended by The Celtic Star.
‘Lots of work going on for a number of month’
Brendan said: There’s been lots of work going on for a number of months, but as you can imagine, it’s never as simple when you actually then get to the point of getting the player that you want, because there’s various reasons why his club would want to maybe keep them. But I’m fairly confident by the end, we can add that extra freshness and competition to the squad.”
So let’s trust the process.
