Kieran Tierney was a second half substitute for Arsenal in their 2-1 victory over Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham in the North London Derby last night…

KT up the road
The Celtic-linked left-back arrived on to the field after 77 minutes for the game’s winning goalscorer Leandro Trossard. Tierney, unconventionally, played the remainder of the match on the left-wing rather than his traditional defensive position.
Three important points for Mikel Arteta means the Gunners are now four points behind Liverpool at the top of the English Premier League table with Arne Slot’s table toppers possessing a game in hand over Arsenal.
Meanwhile, it is yet another defeat for former Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou. The 59 year-old is suffering sustained scrutiny for the first time in his managerial club career, and the cup competitions in February may prove to be his saviour.
For Kieran Tierney, it has been widely reported that a pre-contract agreement between Celtic and Arsenal is edging closer. It remains to be seen whether the 27 year-old will rejoin his boyhood club on a six-month loan until the end of the season in this window or will stay at Arsenal and complete the league season in London.
UPDATE: Celtic are close to agreeing pre-contract terms with Arsenal left-back Kieran Tierney.
The Hoops are also expected to explore the possibility of taking Tierney on loan until the end of the season, especially if they qualify for the #UCL knockout rounds. https://t.co/ghJAPrqxgf

Como want Valle
Alex Valle is subject to interest from Serie A side Como, and Tierney joining Celtic this month would almost certainly trigger an early exit away from the Scottish champions for the Spaniard.
Como are reportedly in contact with the representatives of Barcelona full-back Alex Valle, who is currently out on loan with Celtic, as Cesc Fabregas’s side look to improve on an already impressive January transfer window, Football-Italia.net reports.

Raul Moro – Celtic interest in winger but no bid so far
In other news, MailSport columnist Stephen McGowan revealed yesterday evening that Celtic are considering an £8.5m swoop for Real Valladolid winger Raul Moro but face competition from Ajax for his signature.

Celtic’s priority has always been a winger due to the uncertain future of Luis Palma and an injury to James Forrest which could keep him sidelined for around a month longer.
