Darren O’Dea spoke to Celtic TV after last night’s impressive 3-0 win over Livingston B in the second round of the SPFL Trust Trophy, with the Celtic goals coming from Adam Brooks, Bosun Lawal and Ben Quinn.

“To be that dominant in a game takes maturity and concentration. We completely dominated from the first minute to last and we gave them no opportunities which pleased me most,” the Celtic B Team co-manager said.

“As a group, we got into so many good areas to score more but the control was total throughout, so I’m pretty pleased.

We want to go as far as possible. When you play for Celtic at any level then every competition you enter is very important. It was about getting a performance and we got fantastic intensity so the players can be pleased. Now it’s about recovering with another game in a few days,” Darren O’Dea told Celtic TV.

Incidentally this excellent article – titled Why Sky shouldn’t be the limit for Scottish football – was published last night on The Celtic Star and has also gone under the radar due to the attention being on the Champions League qualifiers. I thought that Bodø/Glim were very unlucky not to win the tie in the 90 minutes against Dinamo Zagreb then they were hit with two quick-fire sucker punches deep into extra-time so it’s the Europa League for our old pals from the Arctic Circle.

Anyway here’s the link to this excellent article by Mark Nicholas…
