Ally McCoist reckons that theRangers must prioritise the second leg of the Europa League semi-final against RB Leipzig next Thursday night ahead of the Glasgow Derby on Sunday afternoon at Celtic Park as the former Rangers striker reckons that the league title is already heading to Paradise for the 10th time in eleven seasons.

And the former Ibrox manager points out that nine years ago this week his club, formed in 2012 by Charles Green, was playing East Stirling in the old Third Division, the fourth tier of Scottish football. To go from there to a European final is quite remarkable and is worthy of theRangers full attention…and if that means ‘throwing in the towel’ on Sunday against Celtic then so be it.

Sutton comes back with the comeback of his own, Celtic turning around a 25 points deficit at the end of last season to be six points ahead and on the verge of winning the title in Ange Postecoglou’s first season in charge.

Whichever is the greatest comeback remains to be seem, as indeed does both them getting to the Europa League Final – Leipzig have been better away from home in Europe this season – and Celtic getting across the line in the Scottish Premiership. However if McCoist is revealing an insight into theRangers mentality ahead of Sunday then Celtic confidence has to rise.

Here’s the latest knockabout exchange from McCoist and Sutton. The former incidentally will be able to attend the game at Celtic Park on Sunday without any bother from the Celtic support. Sutton however remains barred from Ibrox because their board cannot guarantee his safety inside their own stadium.
