Professional musician Liam McGrandles is a familiar face with many Celtic fans. A regular performer in the Kerrydale Suite at Celtic Park, and well known for his duet of Grace with Rod Stewart, Liam has written many songs about working class life in Scotland, Irish immigration, and Celtic Football Club.

Yesterday, Liam uploaded a video of a new song that he has penned in tribute to the first Irish that came to Scotland in the latter half of the 19th century. The tone tells the tale of the struggles they faced and the jobs they had to take on to survive, whilst trying to build new lives for themselves, their families and the next generations.

It is something which many Celtic supporters can relate to today. In many ways the song is the story of their heritage.

Enjoy!
