Looking ahead to the January transfer window and signing two new wide men will surely be the Celtic priority…

The January transfer window is almost upon us and we will most likely be looking to do business to strengthen certain areas.
We have one of the strongest squads we’ve had in a while, but that doesn’t need we don’t need to strengthen, and there’s certainly a couple of areas that are in need of that.
Daizen Maeda and Nicolas Kuhn
That particular position that is in need of improvement is in the offensive department, most notably in the wide area. We of course have Daizen Maeda and Nicolas Kuhn who have been two of our most valuable players this campaign, but in terms of back up we are sadly lacking.

James Forrest sidelined through injury
We’ve seen that in recent weeks after injury sidelined James Forrest, and the poor performances of Luis Palma and Yang who haven’t taken their opportunities when it’s been presented to them. With it being such a long and demanding campaign we need quality cover in that position.

For me we should be looking to bring in two quality wingers to rectify that problem. Luis Palma will undoubtedly be off when the window opens either on loan or permanently, while Yang could do with a loan spell to sharpen up his ability.
In defence we are as strong as we’ve been for a while, and our midfield is also very strong. So for me the main focus should be bolstering our attacking options on the flanks.
