Nicolas Kuhn has been nothing short of sensational this campaign, and naturally that has led to a lot of speculation about other clubs eyeing him up, most notably clubs down south…
Nicolas like all other Celtic players has a price and if indeed he keeps up his fine form, then it won’t be long before the club receives a serious offer for his signature.
That time however is a long time away. Talk of a January move has been mentioned, but I can’t see anyone offering the club a decent enough bid, or more importantly I can’t see the club entertaining the thought of the player leaving so soon.
Nicolas still has more than four years of his contract still to run, and he’s just finding his feet at the club. He’s improving so much under Brendan Rodgers, and he’s playing at a high level in champions league football, whilst also competing for trophies at Celtic.
He will indeed move on to bigger things in the future, but as for now, he’s very much a Celtic player and I’d expect him to see out this campaign out, and most possibly another one after.
He’s getting noticed at Celtic, he’s starring in the Champions League and he’s apparently close to fulfilling a personal ambition in getting a call-up to the German national side.
The style of football played by Celtic under Brendan Rodgers clearly suits Nicolas Kuhn perfectly and he’d be foolish to want to walk away from all that so early into his time a Celtic.
Ideally Celtic look at extending his contract and increasing his salary to reflect the importance he has to the team this season and hopefully for a few more to follow.
Just an Ordinary Bhoy
