LEIGH GRIFFITHS posted that emotional message on his Instagram account this morning after the incredible high last night of coming back from his extended period away from the game to score his first competitive goal of 2019 against Nomme Kalju.

A change of formation paid rich dividends for the Celtic manager Neil Lennon as his side responded putting five past the the Estonian Champions and as Niall J said in our Match Report last night it could easily have been ten – see HERE.

That change in shape allowed Leigh Griffiths to play alongside Odsonne Edouard and resulted in the most special goal that Paradise has seen for a while. Leigh Griffiths’ free kick, so similar to the two he scored against England, as David Potter mentioned HERE, was hugely significant for the player, and his teammates, his manger and all the supporters inside Celtic Park realised this too and loved sharing the joyous moment with a player who is a real fans favourite.

“Wow. Just wow. My team mates, my club, my fans, family and friends, that was for you. Thank you,’ Griffiths posted. What does that goal mean? For a start it will open the flood-gates for this Celtic goalscoring machine of a striker, remember his 40 in Ronny’s last season.

Not into gambling myself but a small wager in Griffiths finishing the season as Scotland’s top goalscorer could be shrewd. He is hungry like a wolf and has the Zombies in his sights, after their disgraceful chanting and the impact that had in his family – see HERE.
