Danny McGrain’s busy week signing copies of ‘Celtic in the Eighties’ by David Potter

It’s here – Celtic in the Eighties by David Potter, with a very special foreword from Danny McGrain and a lovely message to the Celtic support by Rosemary Potter…

Celtic in the Eighties by David Potter

Celtic in the Eighties by David Potter, out now!

And breathe! Manic past week or so dealing with the pre-orders for David Potter’s final book, Celtic in the Eighties, published yesterday by Celtic Star Books. The response to the pre-order promotion for David’s final book has been quite staggering, our best ever, which given the circumstances feels only right and fitting.

So much so that we had to ask Danny McGrain to carry out a second book signing session, which he kindly agreed to do this week. That allowed us to cover all orders up to and including 3 September. All signed copies have gone now, sadly, but what a response!

We will be continuing to include a free copy of David’s brilliant biography of Alec McNair, like Danny a legendary Celtic defender and captain, whilst stocks last. Not many of those left now either though, so hurry!

Since Tuesday, those pre-orders for Celtic in the Eighties have been packaged and posted, in the same order in which they were purchased, with the last five sackloads of those being uplifted in the last few moments by my postman, who has been an absolute star this week. He won’t thank me for calling him a Celtic Star right enough!

The late, great David Potter, Celtic Historian and Author.

So if you’ve ordered Celtic in the Eighties by David Potter from us, then it’s on its way to you wherever you are in the world. Thanks to those who let us know they received their copy already this week.

If not, then do yourself a favour and order David’s final book from celticstarbooks.com/shop. Or if the official Celtic outlets or Waterstones are your preferred purchase outlets, then the book is also available there now but probably not for very long.

It’s been our intention to do David proud with his final book and we have done our very best to achieve that objective. It’s been wonderful to see it all coming together so successfully and it’s been a roaring success that would certainly have put a huge smile on David’s face. Thank you to each and every one of you who has purchased Celtic in the Eighties and for supporting our efforts. It’s greatly appreciated.

And obviously we know that you’ll love reading Celtic in the Eighties so brilliantly written by the late, great Celtic historian David Potter. If you haven’t order yet click on the image below, it’s very easy.
