Happy Birthday to Celtic legend, Scott Brown

Happy Birthday to Celtic legend Scott Brown. The former Celtic captain left the club after fourteen incredible years at the club and turns 36 today. The player has joined Aberdeen but will always be a Celtic legend for all that he achieved at the club. Although, with a new era dawning, Brown saw the writing on the wall and opted to sign a deal with Aberdeen.

After 22 trophies with Celtic, Brown leaves Celtic to reunite with his former Hibernian teammate Stephen Glass at Aberdeen. The deal offers him some security as it is a two-year deal that encapsulates both playing and coaching, which for the birthday Bhoy is highly desirable. You would not rule out seeing the player return to Celtic in a managerial capacity at some point in the next few years.

It will be a totally bizarre experience seeing Brown pulling on another kit but he made a decision to prolong his playing career whilst Celtic opted to undergo an overhaul of the footballing department. From all that has been said about Ange Postecoglou, he sounds as if he wants very active, very fit players and Brown is probably thinking that this would have been the same from any manager coming into the club.
