Robbie Brady has been linked with a move to Celtic at various points in the last few years. However, this time talks were alleged to have taken place between the Parkhead hierarchy and the player. Brady, who is a free agent in the summer, “would love” a move to the Bhoys, according to his former Burnley teammate Paul Robinson.

“He is a fantastic player, a hard-working winger who has a fantastic delivery on him,” Robinson said of Brady, in an interview with Football Insider.

“I know it is a move (to Celtic) that he would really love as well with his Irish background. I think the chance of playing at Celtic would be a big draw for him and one that would be difficult to turn down.”

Asked whether the move will be likely to surface, Robinson said: “He has had his injury problems this season and he has been in and out of the team. To let his contract run this far down tells me that he is probably leaving. A move to Celtic would work. There is going to be an overhaul there this summer but I think Robbie would be a great addition regardless of who comes in.”

Fans were divided over the speculation in recent months. Most felt that he is past his best, whilst one or two fans thought he would be a good addition.
