A year ago today, Celtic travelled up north to take on Ross County in the second round of the League Cup. The match took place on a Wednesday evening and marked Celtic’s first mid-week game of the season. Ange Postecoglou made 9 changes to the 11 that started in the match on the weekend previous, which happened to be Celtic’s 0-9 thumping of Dundee United.

Goals from McGregor (21′ minutes), Giakoumakis (25′ minutes), Maeda (73′ minutes), and Forrest (90′ minutes) saw the Hoops secure a 4-1 victory over Ross County. The starting line-up was Siegrist, Ralston, Welsh, Jenz, Bernabei, Mooy, McGregor, Turnbull, Abada, Giakoumakis, and Maeda.

This match really went to show the sheer squad depth that Ange had to work with at Celtic last season.
