Official UEFA account pays birthday wishes to former Celtic star

Former Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard turns 25 today. The Crystal Palace attacker left Paradise in the summer of 2021 for London; however, he was a fans’ favorite in Glasgow for his goalscoring ability as well as his vision to provide for teammates.

The Europa League account shared a clip of one of French Eddy’s finest goals, a deft chip against Copenhagen.

It was a shame that the Frenchman was unable to bring about 10IAR but his form was a bright spark in what was an otherwise dismal season.

Edouard was signed in 2017 for £9m and has scored 89 goals for the club, impressing along the way in all competitions. However, Celtic were forced to accept a £15m plus add-ons deal for Edouard. The price probably would have been higher had a deal been agreed the season before; however, given the Frenchman was keen to leave and had just a year remaining, Celtic had to make a deal.
